POWERTRONIX UPS SUPPORTING A UNITED IMAGING HEALTHCARE (UIH) 1.5T MRI SYSTEM AT HUONG SON CLINIC (BINH DINH, VIETNAM)

Huong Son General Clinic is one of the oldest and most reputable private healthcare facilities in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province. Founded by Dr. Pham Thi Huong in 1994, the clinic has grown into one of the largest medical centers in the region, equipped with advanced medical technologies including a 1.5T MRI scanner, 64-slice CT scanner, mammography system, ultrasound equipment, and many other modern diagnostic tools. Over the years, Huong Son Clinic has earned the trust of patients throughout Binh Dinh Province and neighboring regions.

Since 2024, the clinic has been operating a state-of-the-art 1.5T MRI system from United Imaging Healthcare (UIH). The system offers several advanced features, including a spacious 70 cm bore that enhances patient comfort, a 72-channel RF receiving system, parallel imaging technology for faster and higher-quality scans, and a high-performance image processing platform integrated with AI algorithms to improve image quality while reducing scan and breath-hold times.

To ensure reliable power protection for this critical medical equipment, the MRI system is safeguarded by a Powertronix UPS, an Italian-made solution officially imported and distributed by HTA Technology, a professional UPS provider with more than 12 years of experience in Vietnam.

One of the highlights of this project was the exceptionally tight delivery schedule. The MRI system itself was delivered within just over two months, requiring the UPS to be supplied within the same timeframe. Under normal circumstances, a Made-in-Italy UPS typically requires at least three months from production to delivery in Vietnam. However, thanks to the strong support and flexibility of the Powertronix factory in Italy, the UPS was completed ahead of schedule and transported by air freight directly to Ho Chi Minh City before being delivered to Binh Dinh Province. The entire process was completed in less than two months, successfully meeting the demanding project timeline set by both the investor and UIH.

To date, the UPS system has been operating continuously at Huong Son Clinic for more than two years without any complaints or power-related issues reported by the customer.

Its reliability was further demonstrated during the historic Typhoon No. 13 that struck Quy Nhon and Binh Dinh Province in November 2025, causing widespread power outages lasting several days in many areas. Throughout these challenging conditions, the Powertronix UPS continued to provide stable and clean power protection for the UIH uMR 1.5T MRI system, helping ensure equipment safety and operational continuity.

While two years may not seem like an exceptionally long period, it is sufficient to demonstrate the reliability and performance of the Powertronix UPS in protecting a 1.5T MRI system from UIH. More broadly, it reflects the UPS's capability to support advanced medical imaging equipment from various manufacturers, including MRI, CT, DSA, and radiotherapy systems.
